1970 Morris Minor Traveller

I have watched over this marvelous Trafalgar Blue Morris Minor Traveller being restored during the past 2 1/2 months. I first saw it in the paint shop in December where the wood had all been replaced and the body was taken down to bare metal. There was no rust anywhere to be seen...and it is truly better than when it came off the original show room floor in 1970! More care has been given this vehicle than they ever did in the factory when originally built. But I also paid a lot more for this Traveller because of this total restoration and the excellence of the mechanics.

I apologize for the poor quality of the photos that I took on my last visit to the U.K. in early February in the paint shop, but I hope you will be able to see the high quality of the paint job and the woodwork. This paint shop does very high quality work restoring not only Morris Minors, but Jaguars, Rolls, Ferraris, and other expensive cars. When the car is in the U.S. I will provide further photos also after new bumpers will have been fitted and other last minute details have been taken care of. The contrast between the deep blue of the metal parts with the lovely new ash wood is stunning.

The car was obtained from an elderly gentleman who had to stop driving due to poor eyesight. The engine is converted to burn unleaded gasoline, has recently had a total servicing, and was fitted with all new brakes. The car was driven 450 miles from where it was purchased to the restoration garage and averaged over 40 miles per gallon. It drives superbly and will be in the U.S. sometime in early March.
